Letter of Recommendation
I base my recommendation of Sadie Goldsmith to your program on my opinion gathered from a four year long interaction in the capacity of her professor. I personally selected her for admission to our program. At this juncture, I hope I can do justice to this intelligent and well-adjusted young person by giving her the recommendation she certainly deserves.
I am yet to meet a person with a quicker grasp for what most people believe to be the mundane side of mathematics.
She is the person who is genuinely passionate about her academics and extremely ambitious. Always one to go beyond the immediate nature of the subject and look at it from a larger perspective. She has been my assistant in two large-scale accountancy consultancy projects that I took upon myself and performed her duties brilliantly. What was admirable was that she went a few steps further and found alternative ways to tackle the problem on hand, many of which I found extremely useful to incorporate in my work. She received the 'Best project assistant' award across eight departments.
Beyond academics, Sadie is someone with a strong sense of social responsibility. She is a very humane and sensitive person with a natural talent for teaching mathematics. Something her peers have really benefited from. She has a flair for and I believe enjoys organizing events of any nature. She has been a student event manager and has made a huge success of events ranging from farewell parties to educational seminars.
One notable event that she helped me initiate and organize was The International symposium on the role of accountants in the world today. In fact, she has always held the post of Treasurer on the organization committees in addition to conceptualising and executing preparations for the events.
As Treasurer, she has done a thorough job of maintaining 'the books' and even put them on an online site in a record time of three days where they could be readily accessed by anyone with the authority.
With a number of specific skills and talents and pleasant yet firm leadership qualities, it is inevitable that management choses her for its cause. She is very well suited for a career in management and will get the right environment at your school for her initiation into this field.
I recommend her without any hesitation whatsoever and am sure that she will be a true asset to your institution and to the field of management at large.
